Rabbi Emily Langowitz ’17 joined the Temple Solel community in July 2017. A native of Wellesley, MA, Rabbi Langowitz received a M.A. in Hebrew Literature from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 2016 and was ordained at its New York campus in 2017. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Hebrew at Yale University in 2012. Rabbi Langowitz served a variety of communities, organizations, and congregations while in rabbinical school, most recently as the intern at Larchmont Temple in Larchmont, NY. She is driven in her rabbinical work by a commitment to joyful exploration of Jewish learning, building a community full of deep relationships, and the pursuit of interfaith partnerships and social justice.
